ROTARY CALLING

Join us in our effort to collect no longer

used cell phones.  Between now and

mid January, we will gather as many

cell phones as possible which will

be sent away to benefit our club.  Bring

in all cell phones, even if you feel the

phone is inoperable. 

Please put all phones in the box that

will be at the front desk in envelopes

that will be provided.  Please include

your name, date and number of phones

on the envelope.

Rotary Minute:

Bob Easton reported on The Humanitarian

Grants Program which funds club and

district service projects such as: district

simplified grants, matching grants, and

3-H (Health, Hunger and Humanity) Grants.

 

 

Winners:

Chuck Brandon, Frank Lanzana and Johanna

McMicahel each won a t-shirt.  David

Ramsey won a key donated by Jerry

Rosenthal.  CA Messana won a mouse pad

also donated by Jerry.  Rick Marshall purchased

the flowers.  Katya's raffle ticket was

picked for the 50/50 money but she did not

pick the ace of spades.  The pot is now up to

$1,706.

     

 

PROGRAM:

Lloyd Rhodes introduced Stan Smith who is the CEO of the Ft. Lauderdale Air and Sea Show which is scheduled in April 2010.  Along with this show, Joe Milsapps stated that they will be scheduling Fleet Week during the same time.  This will be the 20th anniversary for fleet week and it will last for two weeks which will include a beach festival, entertainment, several ships and submarines.  He then had a question and answer period.
