PROGRAM: President Bill introduced Dan Austin who gave his Part II baseball presentation.  In Dan’s Part I presentation he spoke about baseball recruiter Huey Alexander.  Dan continued speaking about Huey and in addition showed us the proper way to hold and swing a baseball bat.  He stated that your eyes should be behind the bat when hitting the ball and to remember to coil, stride and swing.  While on a base, do not get lazy and rest your hands on your knees, this will make you lose time when beginning to run.  When Huey was in doubt about signing up a ball player he would ask to speak to the ball players Mother.  If the mother had trouble cutting the umbilical cord he would not make a good ball player said Huey.  Dan then had a short question and answer period.
